CoaguTrak® – Anticoagulation Management Software
CoaguTrak
® is the premier anticoagulation
management software solution. Our Internet-based software gives physicians,
nurses, and staff the power to better manage patients on coagulation drug therapies
by helping reduce human error, enforcing proper follow-up and capturing revenues.
Delivered via the web, CoaguTrak
® can be used by any medical practice with a computer
and an Internet connection.
We handle all software maintenance, data storage, and backups. With no servers
or other maintenance headaches, medical practices can access CoaguTrak
® from any
of their locations, all through a fully secure, HIPAA-compliant, encrypted connection.
CoaguTrak
® satisfies three key healthcare provider needs:
- Deliver better healthcare
- Increase practice profitability
- Reduce costs by mitigating malpractice risk
CoaguTrak
® helps the provider deliver better healthcare by reducing the risk of heart attacks, strokes and bleed outs due to human error resulting from unacceptable INR or PT results.
Through workflow management, color coding, task queues and report generation, any patient outside predetermined INR ranges and those patients who were not informed of an out-of-range result, are presented as alerts to the practitioners responsible for their care. The system further ensures that patients receive timely and accurate instructions on how to dose their anticoagulation medications and ensures communication is complete. If a call or a letter to a patient is not completed, a notification is sent through the system to the appropriate predefined provider.
CoaguTrak
® helps make a practice more profitable by allowing the provider to bill at higher rates when appropriate, and by increasing the efficiency of the provider and his/her staff. Additionally, it offers significant protection against malpractice by providing documentation of patient follow-up, which gives the provider peace of mind because he or she is assured that all appropriate steps and precautions have been taken. Additional mitigation of malpractice is achieved as each action is electronically dated and time stamped and all documentation is archived in the system.
The application works as a standalone solution and also integrates with many practice management systems (PM) and electronic medical record (EMR) applications.

CoaguBill®
CoaguBill
®, an optional module of CoaguTrak
®, uses information already captured during the patient encounter and creates a charge slip ("Superbill") for the encounter. With a few simple clicks, CoaguBill
® recognizes and suggests additional revenue opportunities and encounter levels, when appropriate. Superbills are then easily retrieved, printed, and tracked for simple charge entry.
Improved patient record keeping is a foundation of better patient care and risk
reduction. CoaguBill
® extends
this value by converting better record keeping into better billing. Customers
using CoaguBil
® appropriately
recognize an increase of $30/visit on average.
CoaguShield®
CoaguShield
®, another optional service of CoaguTrak
®, is a turn-key letter fulfillment service. If a patient is flagged as "non compliant" (for example, the patient did not return a phone call or missed an appointment), the CoaguTrak
® user, with a simple click of a button, can trigger the delivery of either a standard letter or a U.S. Postal Service certified letter. The letter becomes part of the patients file. For certified letters, the letter's tracking number is automatically loaded into the patient file and signed return receipts are scanned and stored are part of the patient's record.
CoaguShield
® ensures that patient notification is proper, timely, and well documented.
CoaguShield
® costs less than the practice staff expense of generating letters,
stuffing envelopes, pulling charts, and filing documentation. And...the reduction
in malpractice risk is simply priceless.
Medical Software Interfaces
Keeping multiple applications and communications synchronized in a healthcare organization is growing increasingly difficult as systems proliferate.
To support the complexity, MedMatics builds and supports medical practice software
interfaces that connect disparate medical software applications. The interfaces
are based on HL7 Clinical Document Architecture (CDA and XML).
Each interface is architected for long term interoperability and scalability, CDA compliance, longevity and performance. Additionally, the interface team performs data migration, testing and documentation of the interfaces.
MedMatics is dedicated to providing high quality, customized HL7 services to your organization in a timely, cost-effective manner.
MedMatics' technical group consists of both consultants and developers who each
have a vast amount of experience in various areas which include:
- project management
- business analysis
- systems analysis
- solution design and architecture
- implementation
- change management strategy
- interface development and systems integration
- operational environmental analysis
- operational strategies analysis and consulting
If you require implementation services, our HL7 services team is committed to
helping you succeed.
MedMatics is a member of HL7.
